Two including 9-year-old girl killed in road mishap

Ahmedbad: Two persons, including a nine-year-old girl, were killed and seven others injured after a speeding truck rammed into an autorickshaw packed with passengers. The incident took place near Palghar on the Mumbai-Ahmedbad highway today. police said.

Inspector Jaiprakash Gute of the Kasa police station said, the mishap took place when the autorickshaw was returning back with a group of pilgrims after a visit to a temple fair.

As per details, a speeding truck collided with the autorickshaw, leaving nine people injured. Two of them died on their way to hospital.

The deceased were identified as Prachi Andher (9) and Ladkya Babal (30). The injured were being treated in local hospital. The truck driver has been taken into custody and his vehicle seized, the police said.
