Nagpur : In case reservation rules were not followed in recruitment in Kolhapur District Cooperative Milk Producers’ Federation (GOKUL), the recruitment process will be stayed pending inquiry, said Dairy Development Minister Mahadev Jankar in Vidhan Parishad Friday.
Jankar was replying to a calling attention motion by Satej alias Banti Patil regarding corruption in recruitment in Gokul. Jankar said that Gokul milk federation has entire district as its jurisdiction. The process to fill 429 posts is going on. The concerned deputy registrar has the authority to sanction recruitment proposal. As per the 2004 Cooperative Act no reservation were provided for backward sections in this recruitment. Amendments will have to be made to the existing law for reservations to backward sections. Cooperative Commissioner is inquiring into the recruitment process.
Renewed inquiry will be conducted if any instances of corruption were found. Pattern is important for recruitment process and inquiry will be conducted to examine that, Jankar said.
