No deserving eligible farmer will be deprived from loan waiver: Coop Minister

Nagpur : No deserving and eligible farmer in the state will be deprived of loan waiver benefit, said Cooperative Minister Subhash Deshmukh in the Vidhan Sabha during the question hour.

Dhondiram Shirsat, a farmer in Jamkhed, district Ahmednagar had committed suicide because he did not get the loan waiver. Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil had rasked a question in this regard. Replying to that the Minister added said the government had provided opportunity to upload loan waiver application on the portal sans Aadhar Card. 2.40 farmers who did not have Aadhar Cards uploaded their applications. Still, in the case will be considered as a special case for loan waiver and if anyone found guilty in this case after enquiry, action will be taken, the Minister assured.
