New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday addressed the nation through the 37th edition of his monthly programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’ on Sunday. While addressing the nation, PM Modi showered praise o for an NGO that ran a 200-day campaign to clean a fort at Chandrapur in Maharashtra. The NGO has started the cleanliness drive in August.
PM said that “People performed the task of cleaning the fort, non-stop, without any fatigue.200 days of continuous labour,” he said. “They sent me photographs before and after. I was overwhelmed on seeing them.”
“This mammoth effort of bringing about cleanliness is a wonderful example of fostering aesthetics, co-operation and continuum. Forts are symbols of our heritage. And it is the duty of all to keep their historical heritage safe and clean,” he added.
