Cong, NCP are together in council polls: Dhananjay Munde

Beed: Ahead of the 2019 Maharashtra Legislative Council elections, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and Congress has decided to fight the polls together from the Osmanabad-Latur-Beed seat, NCP leader Dhananjay Munde said here on Thursday.

However, the Shiv Sena, on the other hand, hasn’t supported its ally BJP, so independent candidate Ashok Jagdale (whom NCP has supported) would certainly win, Munde said.

The Congress and NCP were also contesting by-elections to Palghar and Bhandara-Gondia Lok Sabha constituencies and Palus-Kadegaon Assembly seat together, and the two parties will contest all upcoming elections in alliance, he added.
